International Cheese Awards Press Release April 2017: Entries now open for this year’s show

Only three months to go now until the 120th International Cheese Awards takes place in Nantwich on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th July, and we’ve got lots of exciting news to share with you over the next few weeks. First things first though – we’re pleased to announce that entries are now open for this year’s show!

Help us beat last year’s 5000 entries

We really didn’t think we would ever top the remarkable level of competition we had in 2015, but ICA 2016 proved us all wrong by attracting an amazing 5000 entries. We’re the biggest and best cheese show in the world for a reason! In the end, Supreme Champion and winner of the Westminster Cup 2016 was announced as Treur Kaas for their aged Jerseyhoeve Schorren, with Waitrose scooping Supreme Retailer for 2016 – but this year, it could be your name on the trophy. All in all, there are 175 different class trophies to be won, so this really is a great chance to showcase the very best dairy produce from all over the world.

It’s now easier to enter than ever before. Simply visit our website here, download the relevant forms, complete, and then submit before the closing date of May 13th.

Joseph Heler sponsors for the UK’s biggest dairy networking lunch

In case you missed this last month, we’re thrilled that the Joseph Heler family dairy will be sponsoring the 2017 International Cheese Awards Trade Day Lunch. They’re the perfect choice - located in Nantwich and cheesemaking since 1957, when the company was founded by Joseph Heler himself, the Nantwich Show and the International Cheese Awards have been at the very heart of the dairy’s heritage over the years. Now a third-generation family business managed by Mike and George Heler - son and grandson of the founder Joseph Heler – the dairy both produces and packs a wide range of cheese for the retail, foodservice and ingredients sectors, serving the UK and exported throughout the world. The Trade Day lunch takes place on Tuesday 25th July, and if you’d like to attend you’ll be able to book your place via our website shortly.

For more details about how to get involved with ICA 2017 as an exhibitor or a sponsor contact, or email Liz at if you’d like to attend as press.
