International Cheese Awards Press Release June 2016: Tickets, Trade Day Lunch and Closing in on Another Record!

It’s mid-summer and we’re now just one month away from the biggest and best cheese show in the world! Work will soon begin on erecting the marquee and entries have been flooding in – we’re still counting them all up but we look set to beat last year’s record-breaking total of 4,615 entries from 274 different exhibitors and 31 countries. It looks like being the best show yet, as Liz tells Matt White in this month’s Fodder podcast – hear their conversation here on the Taste of Manchester website.

Get your Early Bird Tickets Now!

Show Day is Wednesday 27th July, and tickets will be available on the gate priced at £18 for adults, £7 for children, £13 for senior citizens and Family tickets for £45. However, if you book via the Nantwich Show website here in advance, you can bag a discount on all your tickets (£15/£5/£10/£35) and leave yourself with more spending money for cheese! Remember, your ticket covers admission to both the biggest cheese awards in the world and the largest one-day agricultural show in the UK, making it even more of a bargain.

The line-up for our demo kitchen is looking great, with a host of familiar faces returning to this year’s show - James Martin, Sean Wilson and Will Holland are all confirmed. You can now book your tickets for the James Martin demos at 11am, 2pm and 4pm via the Nantwich Show website at £5 a time – these ALWAYS sell out so get booking!

Trade Day Lunch

Judging and Trade Day takes place on Tuesday 26th July, with the legendary Trade Day lunch offering the chance to mingle with other dairy professionals whilst enjoying a superb meal. Last year 1192 of us sat down to lunch, making it the biggest event of its kind, and you can book your place at this year’s for just £32 plus VAT – great value for champagne and canapes, cold meats and salads, sweet, coffee and the best cheese board in the business! Lunch concludes with the eagerly-awaited announcement of the ICA Supreme Retailer and the ICA Reserve and Supreme Champions for 2016. This event sells out quickly, so book today via the ICA website.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Nantwich next month!
