International Cheese Awards Press Release March 2015: Jonathan Harrison added to Celebrity Chef Line-Up

So, Spring is in the air and the days are getting longer – which must mean it’s now only four months to go until the biggest and best cheese show in the world! Preparations are now well underway for this year’s show, which takes place on July 28th and 29th and which promises to be our best yet.

Jonathan Harrison Returns to our Celebrity Chef Demo Kitchen

After his triumphant debut at last year’s show, we’re delighted to confirm that Jonathan Harrison will be back with us for ICA2015. Jonathan is chef patron of The Sandpiper in Leyburn, a beautiful 17th century inn which he has run with his wife Janine since 1999. He was awarded the Roux Scholarship in 1993 and went to Alain Ducasse in Monte Carlo, a stint which contributed to his appointment as Chef de Cuisine at Birmingham’s only 5 star hotel. He has continued to gather plaudits since opening The Sandpiper, including Yorkshire Life Dining Pub of the Year. We’re pleased to say that he enjoyed the International Cheese Awards so much in 2014 that he’s back with us to cook up something new.

Jonathan will join James Martin and Will Holland in the Le Gruyere Cookery Theatre on July 29th and tickets for each of the demos will be available shortly via the Nantwich Show website.

The Trade Lunch takes place from 1pm on Tuesday 28th July is once again sponsored by Culina, one of the leading food and drink logistics suppliers across the chilled and ambient temperature ranges. Lunch offers great value at £32 + VAT per head, with champagne and canapés served from 1pm and cold meats, salads, dessert, cheese and biscuits and coffee and mints to follow, and places can now be booked via the ICA website. As with the trade space, lunch sold out well ahead of time last year so please reserve your place without delay!
